Who I Am

My name is Melanie Cage and I am a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant which means I authorised to perform marriage ceremonies anywhere in Australia. Being a Civil Celebrant I can also perform, Baby/Child Namings, Renewal of Vows, Commitment Ceremonies, and Funerals or any other ceremony that you want. I am a proud supporter of the same-sex marriage laws and look forward to performing ceremonies for all couples in love on their special day.

I’m a proud mum of two daughters, and my journey has been anything but ordinary. I dedicated 23 years to law enforcement as a police officer, honing resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to helping others. Today, I channel that expertise as an emergency management specialist, ensuring preparedness and safety in critical situations.

Beyond my professional life, I’m a passionate writer, actor, and children’s entertainer, bringing stories to life and creating joy wherever I go. I also compete in adult cheerleading and dance competitions—because energy, dedication, and the thrill of performance drive me every day.

I love meeting new people, sharing experiences, and embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm. Whether it’s in the workplace, on stage, or in everyday life, I believe in working hard, pushing boundaries, and making meaningful connections.

I live in Sydney's Western Suburbs which puts me in a great position to travel just about anywhere in or around Sydney to perform ceremonies. I bring a great deal of life experience and knowledge to the role of Celebrant.

Ceremonies can be held just about anywhere. I have conducted hundreds of ceremonies in backyards, parks, on boats, up mountains, in the city, country and beyond.

If you have a crazy idea or theme for your ceremony I am open to just about anything so don't think you have to have a formal traditional ceremony. Remember its about what YOU want. I am devoted to making sure your special day is memorable.
